Xbox Series X – Forza Motorsport vs Halo in 3D

Xbox Series X: Let’s Have A Look

Xbox X Series has become the most popular gaming console by Microsoft. Many enhancements were added to the device much later after its launch and for the successful one year the company is giving more. So, below I have a detailed review of existing and additional features that the Xbox X Series came across.

Xbox Series X: Overall Assessment

It is the first anniversary of Microsoft’s Xbox X Series. Xbox X Series was launched on November 10, 2020. And without any doubt, the X Series is the terminal Xbox made so far. The new Xbox X Series has the best consoles to play the all old and new Xbox games. It has been a year since the launch, and it is still in high demand. Still, now you won’t be able to find it easy to purchase, and I can completely understand. To celebrate the occasion, the company is set to launch some exclusive games for Xbox lovers, but apart from that, if you are expecting anything high-end you will be disappointed. So, as Microsoft celebrates the first anniversary of its “Next-Gen” Xbox, I thought to myself why not review this incredible game console and help you decide if the latest Xbox is a better choice over the PS5 or not.

The Xbox X Series is the ultimate gaming device that comes at an affordable price. The $500 is surely affordable if you compare it to a high-end gaming PC that might cost you around $1000 to assemble.

Xbox X Series Design When it comes to design, Microsoft did nothing extraordinary with the Xbox X Series. It is a simple monolithic design that is something that gives it simplicity. However, it still is big. It measures about 15.1 x 15.1 x 30.1 centimetres (5.9 x 5.9 x 11.9 inches) and weighs about 9.8 pounds. It has a detachable stand on its base which kind of looks annoying if you try to place the device horizontally. Overall the simple non-fussy design is okay, but you can have a hard time placing it in your entertainment system.

Xbox X Series Interface One of the best new user interfaces that come with the Xbox X Series is the Quick Resume. In simpler words, the all-new X Series allows you to load multiple games at the same time. It even lets you move from one game to another advice versa without you losing your progress in any of the games. This is the most notable and significant feature of the Xbox X Series as even the PS5 does not have anything equivalent to this. The “Quick Resume” feature is amazing and a true game-changer for game lovers who can multitask and want to enjoy the best gaming experience.

Xbox S Series Performance When it comes to performance Xbox X Series is an absolute powerhouse. It holds an eight-core AMD Zen 2 processor running at 3.8GHz, a custom RDNA 2 AMD GPU that puts out 12 TFLOPs of processing power, 16GB of GDDR6 memory, and a 1TB Custom NVMe SSD.

Faster Loading – The Xbox X Series has a shorter loading time, and it is all thanks to its NVMe SSD. You can load your favorite games in tens of seconds. Some games don’t even need a load time.

FPS Boost – With this feature, the Xbox X Series can lock 60 frames per second in general. However, some games can even hit 120 frames per second.

At present, FPS Boost only applies to Xbox One games and some other specific selections. And in near future, the company will roll out more games for sure.

  • Easily expandable storage
  • Auto HDR- The Xbox X Series allows for the calibration of HDR for games.

Xbox Series X Controller The new Xbox Wireless Controller is a simple yet clean enhancement over its predecessor. There is nothing much changed and I think it is good as the previous was a marvel itself. In the new controller, some enhancements are made. There is the addition of a share button on the controller that allows you to share screenshots & recordings with a simple dab. In addition, the D-pad is a hybrid one, and the finish has a more matte look, and all the buttons are now black. Furthermore, the triggers& shoulder buttons are now slightly smaller. Joysticks have a firmer click to them in comparison to the previous version.

Xbox Series X Games The number of exclusive games for the Xbox X Series console is not huge. Many games that are so far exclusive are enhanced versions of the Xbox One model, whereas some are also available on PS. However, the games like Cyberpunk 2077, Forza Horizon 4, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Destiny 2: Beyond Light and Sea of Thieves are some that will run amazingly on this new gaming console. The Xbox X Series and Xbox S Series have some console-exclusive games lined up. Halo Infinite, Fable 4, and Starfield are some of the most anticipated ones.

Conclusion The Xbox X Series is the best version so far. It will run almost every generation of Xbox games without any fuss. Although $500 may seem hefty. But if you compare its next-gen features, it is a smart deal. With the Xbox X Series, you get amazing enhancements, quick loading time, quick resume, and more. For me, It is a big yes to purchase this gaming marvel as there is a lot to come down the road.
